Happy Thanksgiving in San Francisco

We traveled to California this year for Thanksgiving. It was so great! Matt and Lori were so kind to invite everyone to their great little home. Mom cooked her usual giant turkey, Annie and Lori made everyone pilgrim and Indian hats so we could experience the true essence of Thanksgiving. Of course Lou had to be an Indian instead of a Pilgrim! The dinner was amazing and we had lot's of laughs as usual!

Babyrags are my latest creation! Making new one of a kind dresses using old vintage style shirts. I will be selling them at Tom and Lucy's Art Shoppe boutique, on Nov 20th and 21st. We will see how it goes. It has been a fun adventure!

Kurt and I at the Grand America.We were able to have a nice little weekend thanks to Mon Avie. Super fun! 24 hour room service, the hot chocolate was to die for it came to the room in china dishes with a huge bowl of whip cream on the side. soooo good!

Lucas and shine time

Peppermint house pre-School has what they call shine time, where Lucas gets to stand up and talk about what he loves best. Of course he chose Cars. We went to Grandpa Joes to take pictures of all the cars he has helped work on or drive. Grandpa needs his help because his fingers are tiny enough to reach and tighten all of the nuts and bolts. Lucas loves it, and feels so special when he is a helper. For shime time he wants to tell about each car and he knows this by heart (1967 corvette convertible, 1967 corvette big block, 1969 Camero Z28, 1936 Ford Coupe, and of course his Dads car a 1969 Chevelle super sport.) Don't ask me how he remembers all of that, but he does and he loves it!

Disneyland June '08

I'm catching up a little. This was our trip to Disneyland. Scarlet insisted on being a princess the whole time. Lucas had to buy Mickey and insisted that Mickey went everywhere he did. Dax was the perfect age! He went on every ride and loved it! I'm ready to go back.

Scarlet, ah where do I start. She is growing so fast everyday changing. I'm loving watching her grow up from a baby into a little girl. My best little buddy! She loves to play with daddy. Everything from kicking the ball, to a special daddy pas de deux choreographed by her. She has just started counting to ten"one, two, three, four, fries, six, second, nine, ten." I also can't forget her famous new phrase "mom watch this" as she jumps and turns in the air. The 24 hour tutu, jumping off the chair onto the love sac, putting pullups on herself with both legs through one hole shouting "I did it." Always wanting to be pretty staring at herself in the mirror for hours on end. Dancing to itunes, requesting her favorite songs. waiting for daddy to come home from work so she can get tickled.
She is always amazing me and my heart melts with every milestone.

I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream! Maggie Moos is our favorite spot. The kids always want the coolest color of ice cream, whether it's buttered pop corn flavor or cotton candy(gross) they always have to top it with Nerds or gummy bears (double gross) but the love it! and i love to see their faces when I tell them we are going.

Scarlet loved her Easter dress. She danced around in it all day. She was so mad when I tried to put a sweater on her. The boys were not cooperating very well with the photos. Scarlet finally got mad and let Lucas have it.

I know these pictures are a little late but, better late than never! Scarlet absolutely loves to pose for the camera. Dax was pretty good also. Lucas started out okay, and ended up laying on the chair he was supposed to be sitting on. They actually turned out to be the cutest pictures.

I guess we have been taking a lot of pictures lately, because Scarlet has been standing in front of the camera saying cheese and posing, then she runs to Kurt to look at the picture on the back of the camera. She always says"who's that" It is so so cute. I love this kid so much.

Kurt spent all morning today making a Rocket out of paper and duct tape for Lucas. According to his specifications the Rocket had to be huge like his dads arm, and the point on top had to point exactly up (no leaning.) After a few tears from Lucas and a few from Kurt we had lift off. Only for a short while, and then Lou wanted to make one for his brother. Aaaaaah

Scarlet is finally feeling better, thank goodness. We have seen a side of her nobody should ever see. This kid knows what she wants and if she doesn't get it, Watch Out!!! Screaming in the middle of the night to the top of her lungs. (I had no idea a baby could scream that loud) We thought something was seriously wrong. Kurt jumps out of bed and runs in her room only to have his head bitten off. Binkies were thrown, pillows and blankets every where. kurt quickley returns to tell me that he is too scared and I should go. So being the brave mother that I think I am I attempt the Beast. Sure enough binkies thrown in my face, her back arched, legs kicking, so I decide to pick her up and she settles right down. After I realize shes perfectly fine and she is just wanting us to put her to sleep by holding her. I attempt to but her back in her crib. Not a pretty sight. I ended up shutting all doors, plugging my ears, and sadly had to let her fight it out on her own. This happened three more times that week. Eventually the crying episodes became shorter and shorter when she realized she wasn't getting what she wanted. I have a feeling she might be a little difficult with things to come, However she's still our little sweetheart and we love her.

Big Hair and Birthdays

Louies 4th birthday party was a big success. We had all of the family and friends come to Kangaroo Zoo where they could bounce on great big dragons crocodiles and more. The kids had a ball especially Lucas. He asked me if I would comb his hair really big like a princess for his birthday party. He did really well opening presents. I was worried that he would offend someone by saying" I don't want this toy I want a corvette toy." He was good up until he opened the clothes. He was super cute and has been a different kid ever since the big day. He has been much easier.

Kangaroo Zoo for Lou

The Party turned out great. Louie had a ball and thought he was Royalty especially when he asked me if I would comb his hair really big like a Princess for his birthday party. He looked great and had fun with all of his friends and relatives (we missed you Matt Lori and Maya.) Lucas was especially cute opening presents telling everyone"thanks so much, this is what I've always wanted." thanks to everyone for making it a special day for Lou.

Lous 4th birthday

Wednesday is Louies 4th birthday. He is so excited. We are taking all of his friends and Family to Kangaroo Zoo Where they can jump on giant bouncy toys and eat cake and ice cream in the magical Space themed room. He is so excited. We had to take him to ToysRus to pick out exactly what he wanted for his Birthday. We learned the hard way at Christmas. Lou looking at his brand new green bike saying I can't wait to open my spaceship. Oops. So for his birthday he picked out a T Rex, Corvette toy, and yes a spaceship. We have had to have several conversations this week about opening presents from other people, and how they all won't be giving him Corvettes except for maybe Grandpa. wish us luck.
